Facilitation
We have over 20 years experience in facilitating events in the agri sector and medical research communities with a diverse range of topics. We bring skills and knowledge from working within government, industry, NHS/NIHR research, Public Sector Research Establishments, academic research (UK and overseas).
We offer neutral facilitation for your event and we make use of a wide range of methods to provide the right balance for your event to ensure success. We will play an active part in your planning and discussions to ensure your event is right on the button.

Evaluation
National and international experience at reviewing and evaluating scientific research. Significant experience of review panels for national and international funding bodies including chairing panels.
Completed 6 year term as Chief Scientific Adviser in a UK Government Department (www.food.gov.uk) where reviewing and evaluating science was a key part of the role for advising senior executive civil servants and board members and politicians.

Communication
Experienced communicator of science especially risk communication in environmental and public health sectors. Advised governments across the world on Risk communication and have lectured on science communication for UKRI and to many universities. It has been said that “Prof Poppy is one of the best public health communicators in the UK”.

Mentoring
Throughout our careers we have mentored and been mentored as it is so valuable and too often neglected. Working in a university has involved mentoring and support of undergraduate, postgraduate students and early career researchers. Many of our mentees have progressed to successful careers from science through to television and from policy through to successful private sector careers.
